Andrew gained his B.Sc.(Hons) in Marine Biology from the Marine Institute, Plymouth UK. After working outside of academia for a number of years, Andrew gained his PhD in Marine Fisheries Ecology from the School of Ocean Sciences, Bangor, UK. Andrew is interested in understanding the relationships between humans and fish populations, integrating ecology, economics and social science. Collaborating with the Sugihara lab, he is particularly interested in the idea of thresholds and tipping points that shift systems into alternative states.
